RESEARCH

Throughout the course, I have learned about the different and innovative research approaches one can take. I had the chance to utilize digital technology for creative and authentic learning. Here are some examples:

Over the next couple of weeks, we were asked to spread awareness and find research. One platform we used was Twitter. I would tweet to spread awareness on the problem and find articles on my problem.

GOOGLE SLIDE

In Lesson 11, we were asked to create a presentation using a creative platform. I chose Google Slides because of its simplicity and ability to make it more personalized. In my presentation, I identify the problem, consequences and what people can do to help.

INFOGRAPHIC & VOICE THREAD

In Lesson 9 and 10, we created infographics about a specific component of our problem. I decided to focus on the melting glaciers and their impacts. I then created a voice thread to explain my infographic and talked a bit more in-depth about it.

GLOBAL ARTICLE

In Lesson 8, we had to think about our problem from a global perspective. We had to identify a global expert that could inform us of a proposed solution. I found an article written by Bill McKibben who is an American author and environmentalist. The article talks about the boom of solar-powered energy in sub-Saharan Africa and how it has helped many citizens.
